GTA 6 drops cop blips from the minimap. Connected cars still phone home.

For twenty years the getaway was a radar puzzle. Watch the cones, cut a corner, wait it out. The Extended Look for Grand Theft Auto VI hides the cops. Patrol cars are not blips. A modern civilian car can still call home.

No police on the minimap

If the radar does not draw law, you hunt sirens, mirrors, and the next intersection. Miss a cruiser behind a van and you eat a PIT you never saw. That is the tape, not a recap HUD mockup. People on YouTube called the missing blips scary and fun in the same breath. Fair. It also means the old GTA V habit of staring at the corner of the screen is dead if this ships.

The tracker at 14:26

At 14:26 in the Extended Look, a modern car shows what community breakdowns are calling a vehicle tracking system. Hotwire a new sports car and you may be broadcasting. The wetlands on our Leonida scale note are the obvious place to go looking for dead zones. That is a read of terrain plus a UI flash, not a Newswire spec for GPS jammers.

They remember the car

Wanted UI in the tape logs clothes, plates, and the model you were seen in. In GTA V you could hide a shot-up supercar in an alley and watch four stars rot. Here the same ride stays hot. Ditch it. Change. Walk. That is what the UI is selling. Hit-box callouts in the same panel are still a community read of debug-looking chrome, not a confirmed damage bible.

What Rockstar has actually dated

On the VI site, Rockstar still has 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with "Plays Best On PlayStation 5." Take-Two repeated the date to TheGamer. GameSpot has the same lock. Chop-shop scramblers and rust-bucket starter cars are not on the Newswire. Do not write them in.
