GTA 6 official trailers: Trailer 1 and 2

Desk stamp: 13 September 2026. Two official trailers. That is the whole Rockstar list. No leak cuts. No recap channels. The 27 August broadcast is an Extended Look - different name, different night. It is not Trailer 3. Trailer 3 has not been announced. Next dated hardware beat: DualSense pre-order live since 10 September, 10:00 a.m. ET.

Trailer 1

4 December 2023. Rockstar posted it a day early after a low-quality copy leaked. The 5 December YouTube Premiere still ran - same file.

• Title card: Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar Games presents.
• Lucia is named. She is in Leonida Penitentiary. Line: “Do you know why you’re here?” / “Bad luck, I guess.”
• A male partner is on screen. He is not given a full name in this package. The later site and Trailer 2 name him Jason Duval. Inference labeled.
• Modern Vice City: beach, skyline, nightlife. An airboat and flamingos in wetlands Rockstar later named Grassrivers. A keys / seaplane stretch later named Leonida Keys. Those region names are a May 2025 site print, not a Trailer 1 card. Inference labeled.
• The couple hit a liquor store in neck gaiters. Motel bed: “Trust?” / “Trust.”
• Platforms printed then: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That pairing has not changed.
• On-screen window: Coming 2025. That year is dead. Two official delays later.
• Song on the official file: Tom Petty, “Love Is a Long Road.”

Trailer 2

6 May 2025. Rockstar said the footage was gameplay and cutscenes, captured in-game on PlayStation 5.

• Full names spoken: Lucia Caminos, Jason Duval. Jason at the penitentiary desk: “I’m here for Lucia Caminos. She’s supposed to be getting out.”
• Same-day VI site update: the two lead bios, six supporting bios, six destination regions, and the official story blurb - an easy score goes wrong; a criminal conspiracy across Leonida; they have to rely on each other.
• Brian Heder on a Keys roof: “Just go get me my checks.” Jason: “just fixing some leaks.” A lot of people read that as a wink at the 2022 leak. Rockstar did not say that. Inference labeled.
• Cal Hampton at a bar: “Ring the bell! Shots, baby!” Dre’Quan Priest on screen. Bae-Luxe of Real Dimez: “Like, brap brap brap!”
• Bank job. Lucia in community-service / litter-pickup clothes after release. Brian’s boat-yard hangar. A helicopter over Grassrivers.
• In-world ad: Phil’s Ammu-Nation. “We got more guns than the law allows.” Phil has no Rockstar bio page.
• On-screen date then: May 26, 2026. Moved on 6 November 2025 to 19 November 2026. Current official date is the later one. See the timeline.

Not Trailer 3

Rockstar has not announced Trailer 3. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look aired 27 August 2026 - Netflix at 3:00 p.m. ET, then YouTube and the VI site at 9:00 p.m. ET. Same cut both times. Netflix listing: about 27 minutes. Do not rename it. Official: Newswire. Watch order: 1, then 2, then 27 August.
