- Official For digital pre-orders, Microsoft may bill up to 10 days before release; its pre-order price guarantee “only applies to physical pre-order items” and “does not apply to digital items from Microsoft Store” (Microsoft).
- Official PlayStation: paid more than 14 days before release, you can cancel any time before 19 November, unless the download has started.
- Official Strauss Zelnick (7 Aug): “We haven’t sold one unit yet. You can cancel a pre-order.”

- US list: Standard US$79.99 · Ultimate US$99.99.
- Ultimate is not a steelbook cathedral. Digital extras. Physical Ultimate boxes are not the standard path Rockstar pushed.
- Official DualSense Limited Edition Black / White: US$84.99 each. Hardware merch, not a free Ultimate unlock. See DualSense.
- Regional tax and storefront currency will move the number. That is not a secret $238 edition.

- DualSense listings that went "live" days early with stock photos and no Direct / named retailer.
- Gray-market "GTA 6 accounts" and queue bots for Direct.
Before you pay
- Confirm platform: PS5 or Xbox Series.
- Confirm edition: Standard or Ultimate.
- Confirm Vintage Vice City Pack window: purchases before 20 November 2026.
- Confirm you understand the box may be a code, not a pressed disc.
- Save the order email. Chargebacks hate vibes.
- If buying a Limited DualSense: open PlayStation Direct at 10:00 a.m. ET on 10 September. No Discord bots.
