GTA 6 platforms — PS5 and Xbox Series only

Rockstar named two boxes. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Launch is Thursday, 19 November 2026. There is no official PC SKU. There is no last-gen SKU. A GPU chart with a date on it is someone else’s homework. Desk pass: 6 September 2026.

The launch list

Take-Two printed it on 24 June 2026: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, US$79.99 Standard. That pairing has not changed since Trailer 1. The current date locked on 6 November 2025. The compact facts table is what’s confirmed.

PC — not published

PC is not on the official launch list. There is no date. There is no graphics-card table. There is no official PC price. The empty GPU chart lives on system requirements. It is empty on purpose. The dedicated card is GTA 6 on PC.

Take-Two’s June 24 release names two consoles. That is the record. Publisher talk about “starts on console” is not a PC window.

Last-gen is not on the list

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are not on the official launch list. A download-code box is not last-gen support. You still need a current-gen console and the same unpublished storage as a digital copy. Longer card: last-gen.

Nintendo Switch — Unverified listing only

Rockstar and Take-Two have not printed a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 SKU. A French retailer product page that listed Grand Theft Auto VI for Switch 2 is Unverified. Our desk write-up is French Retailer Listing Puts GTA 6 on Switch 2. A store scrape is not Newswire. Until Rockstar prints a Switch line, this tile stays Unverified. (If you meant character switching between Lucia and Jason, that is a different page: character switching.)

“Plays Best On PS5” is a slogan

Sony’s PlayStation Blog ran a 24 June 2026 partner post: Grand Theft Auto VI “plays best on PS5.” That is platform marketing. It is not a Rockstar benchmark paper. It does not add a third console. It does not kick Xbox off the list.

Pre-load needs the same console

Digital pre-load is 12 November 2026, local midnight. You still need a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X|S. A download date is not a PC port. The November card is the pre-load checklist. Side-content honesty card: side activities.
