GTA 6 Co-op Is Not Confirmed

No. Two people cannot officially play GTA 6 together. Rockstar named two playable leads: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Take-Two printed a single-player experience. Co-op, split-screen, and drop-in are unofficial. Recaps sold a couch. We will not promote that to a SKU.
What Rockstar printed
Trailer 1 names Lucia. Trailer 2 speaks both full names. Two short bios live on the VI people pages. Dual lead means both names are on the site. It does not mean a second pad.
Take-Two’s 24 June 2026 pre-order release calls Grand Theft Auto VI “a single-player experience.” The Xbox listing repeats it. Launch remains 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the SKU. It is not a co-op SKU. It is not split-screen. It is not drop-in.

Two leads is not two players
The switch card already ran the other half of this: dual leads official, on-the-fly switching unofficial. Same pair. Different Google. A switch button would still be one person. A couch would be two. Rockstar has printed neither.
VI Online is a third blank. Not announced. Not a GTA+ plan for Vice City. Current GTA Online is Grand Theft Auto V. The Online card holds that hole. Do not mix a missing lobby with a missing couch.

What recaps sold * Unofficial
Starred lines are recap or retailer claims. They are not VI-site copy. I hosted V-Rock in 2002. That disc had a multiplayer afterthought. This one has a printed single-player sentence. We still do not promote a couch to a Newswire.

- * Drop-in co-op. A friend joining your story, then leaving. Unofficial. Not a shipped session type.

- * Local co-op as a SKU. The launch copy is a single-player experience. A second SKU is not announced. Same rule as Online: silence is not a store page.
