He wants an easy life. The cabin says otherwise. Trailer 1 put a male partner on screen without a surname. Trailer 2, 6 May 2025, speaks the full name at the penitentiary desk: Jason Duval.

What Rockstar printed

The VI-site bio shipped with Trailer 2. Tag: he wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder. He grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best: working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.

Quoted on the page: “If anything happens, I’m right behind you.” And: “Another day in paradise, right?” Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. He knows how he would like it to turn out. Right now it is hard to tell.

Brian’s official bio adds the rent: Jason lives free at a Heder property if he helps with local shakedowns and stops by for Lori’s sangria. Cal’s official bio: Cal is Jason’s friend and a fellow Brian associate. GamesRadar, 24 June 2026, notes Rockstar calls the beachfront property “Jason’s Safehouse” in edition marketing. Ultimate Edition items tied to him in that marketing include a Vapid Ganado Retro Build, a Dinka Enduro, and a Crest Kayak.

Trailer 2 cold open, 6 May 2025 Newswire: Brian finds him on a Keys roof. Jason: “just fixing some leaks.” Brian: “Just go get me my checks.” Later Brian: “They got your name, address. They got everything!” Rockstar has not confirmed a voice actor.

Reported Official copy puts Jason and Lucia in the same conspiracy. It does not print a romance meter. Preview talk after Extended Look keeps circling duo trust and romance systems. Desk filings:

What the comments are saying * Unofficial

• * Recap videos titled “The Evidence Jason Duval Is an Undercover Cop” are a whole lane. Comments split: weird cop-meeting shot versus “too obvious for Rockstar.” Official copy does not call him a cop. YouTube recap.
• * A follow-on read says informant, not badge. Brian working with corrupt cops, Cal maybe clocking it. Still starred.
• * Trailer 2 comments treat “just fixing some leaks” as a clapback at the 2022 hack. Press read it that way too. Rockstar did not caption the joke. Trailer 2 comments.
