Rockstar locked November 19, 2026 on X. PC still has no window

Rockstar locked GTA 6 to November 19, 2026 on X. The fight under those posts is an $80 digital floor, 14 Cyberleek drops, and no PC date.

Rockstar skipped the press conference and dropped two plain text posts onto X to lock the calendar: Grand Theft Auto VI releases Thursday, November 19, 2026. Citing polish benchmarks, the delay pushes the return to Vice City deep into the console cycle. A follow-up on Rockstar's official X account pointed toward the expanded state of Leonida. The fight under those posts is platform exclusivity, uncontained security leaks, and the software price.

The delay is console-only

The confirmed timeline puts launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, backed by Sony's promotional 'Plays Best On PlayStation 5' branding on the official Grand Theft Auto VI portal. Console players still have a multi-month wait for Lucia and Jason's campaign across Leonida. PC players got complete silence. Rockstar has not announced a day-one PC build, repeating the staggered rollout of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Desktop setups still have no hardware specs and no arrival window.

Fourteen Cyberleek drops and the ownership revolt

Grassroots channels are messier than the X posts. Analysis on YongYea's coverage of ongoing leaks tracks 14 separate gameplay drops under the pseudonym Cyberleek without public identification or arrest. Those leaks turned comment sections into a fight over digital licensing rights.

A reply on that YouTube leak tape put the ownership line in the clear:

"If buying isn't owning, then cyberleek took nothing."

That line anchors a vocal 'no disc, no buy' pushback against revokable digital software. Other players warn that cheering security breaches will only push publishers toward stricter online authentication checks before a single-player campaign can launch.

A Study prompt at 1:01

On YouTube, gameplay breakdowns flagged a contextual 'Study' prompt on an animal at the 1:01 mark, echoing the wildlife compendium in Red Dead Redemption 2. GTA V treated wildlife as ambient decoration. Recaps read that prompt as cataloging fauna across Leonida's marshlands and suburbs, transplanting western ecological simulation into a modern crime sandbox.

Pre-order starts at $79.99

The price is the other live fight. Reporting from GameSpot and The Verge tracks digital console pre-orders starting at $79.99 and climbing to $99.99, with preloads beginning November 12, 2026. Bundled bonuses like the Vintage Vice City Pack and legacy GTA+ subscriptions have not killed skepticism over future live-service monetization.

Canonical updates still live on the Rockstar Newswire ahead of November 19, 2026. The X posts locked a console date. They did not print a PC roadmap, and preloads are already on the calendar.
