GTA 6 map: the six official regions

A breakdown of the six official Leonida regions confirmed by Rockstar Games for GTA 6, detailing verified locations, lore blurbs, and map boundaries.
Rockstar's official Leonida gazetteer consists of six confirmed regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Each region is defined by a promotional postcard and descriptive blurb published on rockstargames.com/VI. Rockstar has not published an official world map, landmass dimensions, or scale multipliers against GTA V.
Official destinations vs. in-game signage
Rockstar introduced the six regional destination cards alongside Trailer 2 in May 2025 under the promotional tagline "Only in Leonida." While marketing copy nicknames Leonida "the sunshine state" and Xbox Ultimate copy calls it "the Goodtime State," Rockstar avoids real-world Florida branding. In-game road signs and vehicle liveries in Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 name counties including Vice-Dale, Leonard, Kelly, Mariana, and Ambrosia, but these serve as background worldbuilding, not top-level regional divisions.
Vice City — "Everything in Excess"
Rockstar describes Vice City as "the sun and fun capital of America," highlighting four primary districts: Ocean Beach (pastel art deco hotels and white sands), Little Cuba (panaderías), the Tisha-Wocka flea market (bootleg brands), and VC Port ("the cruise ship capital of the world"). Edition copy adds Washington Beach, Stockyard, Southside Vice City, and Shore Drive / Shore Court, while trailer footage establishes the neon beachfront, dusk highway bridges, and Phil's Ammu-Nation.
Leonida Keys — "Gateway to Paradise"
Framed as an easygoing tropical archipelago on the edge of "some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in all of America," the Keys serve as a home base for illicit maritime trade. Official character lore places protagonist Jason Duval here working for local drug runners out of Brian Heder's boat yard and living rent-free at one of Brian's properties. Ultimate Edition copy adds Watson Bay and the Paradise Garage.
Grassrivers — "Welcome to the Wetlands"
Billed as "the untamable jewel of Leonida's crown," the Grassrivers wetlands feature mangroves, alligators, and "far deadlier predators." Trailers show airboat routes, wildlife, and POACH (wildlife enforcement) units patrolling by helicopter and watercraft across the marshland basin.
Port Gellhorn — "Live Hard"
Positioned as Leonida's rundown industrial and vacation relic, Port Gellhorn is defined by cheap motels, shuttered attractions, and an economy driven by painkillers, malt liquor, and truck stops. Official copy establishes mechanic and fixer Wyman as a local contact, with trailers showing faded commercial strips, dirt bike trails, and worn coastal infrastructure.
Ambrosia — "Keeping Leonida Sweet"
Ambrosia is Leonida's central industrial hub, where "the Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else." Official art confirms Allied Crystal's dominant refinery, while Ultimate Edition text references Lake Leonida (One-Eyed Willie's) as the surrounding interior waterway. For more on this region, see our analysis of Ambrosia and Allied Crystal.
Mount Kalaga National Park — "Wild, Wild Country"
Located on the state's northern border, Mount Kalaga provides elevated wilderness featuring hunting, fishing, and off-road trails inhabited by "hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals." Ultimate Edition copy highlights a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy tailored for Kalaga's backcountry terrain.
Reading community map projections
Scale claims, stitched overviews, and multiplier estimates circulating across YouTube mapping channels remain community triangulation, not verified geometry. Until Rockstar reveals a complete cartographic overview, canonical Leonida is strictly limited to these six regions and their verified destination data.
