Trade reporting also warned of fake multi-gigabyte download archives padded with trojans, exploiting the leak wave to target PC players with fraudulent claims of cracked console packages or leaked desktop builds.

Rockstar called the asset breaches heartbreaking in a formal statement reported by Gematsu while confirming the launch date remains unchanged. The Extended Look already aired August 27 — Netflix at 3:00 p.m. ET, then YouTube that night. Six stars in leak clips stay unofficial until Rockstar prints a wanted-system spec. November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series is the date on the official GTA VI site.
