Rockstar's June GTA 6 text list has 13 languages and no Arabic

On 9 September 2026, Middle Eastern creators led by Gamer Snack tagged Rockstar with open letters under #ArabicForGTA6. They want interface text and subtitle parity before launch. Thirteen languages, none of them Arabic

Take-Two locked the text roster at thirteen languages in June pre-order copy. English is the only spoken language. The list names French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and two Chinese scripts. Arabic, Turkish, and Hindi sit outside it. Creators in the region pointed at Traditional and Simplified Chinese making the cut even with mainland distribution barriers. Gamer Snack's open letter treats menus and subtitles as the floor for a flagship. Millions already spent ten years in GTA V with no Arabic text.

A second campaign wants no Arabic at all

In early September 2026 a domestic counter-push asked Rockstar to withhold Arabic localization so crime, drug, and sex scenes stay harder for minors in conservative homes to follow. Organizers also warned that official Arabic would pull Gulf regulators onto digital storefronts. Pre-orders are still live on Sony's PlayStation Store in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Progression sits on the in-game smartphone, social feeds, and fast talk between Lucia and Jason. Miss a police dispatch or a Port Gellhorn objective and you are guessing in a gunfight.
