GTA 6 cancel pre-order

You can cancel a GTA 6 pre-order on PlayStation before 19 November if nothing has downloaded, and pre-load counts as downloading Store listing. Microsoft Store rules are below. New here? Start here.

PlayStation Store

• Official Paid more than 14 days before launch, that is before 5 November: you can cancel at any time before 19 November and get a refund.
• Official Paid 14 days or less before launch: you can cancel within 14 days of paying.
• Official Both rules apply only if you have not started downloading the main game. Sony counts pre-loading as downloading. With Automatic Downloads on, the PS5 can start the pre-load on its own on 12 November, so turn it off if you are undecided.
• Official Bonus content you already received stops working if you cancel.
• Official How: Sony says to contact PlayStation Support or use the refund request in your order history. The refund goes to the original payment method where possible; some payment types are refunded to your PlayStation wallet instead.

Microsoft Store (Xbox)

• Official Sign in to your Microsoft account order history, find the pre-order and choose Cancel.
• Official If you cancel after being billed but before release, Microsoft processes it as a refund. If you don’t see Cancel, use the Xbox refund request form.
• Official Microsoft may charge a card up to 10 days before release. If the card fails, it retries; if the payment still fails, the pre-order is cancelled. Check your card before 9 November.
• Official Microsoft’s lowest-price pre-order guarantee covers physical items only; it “does not apply to digital items from Microsoft Store” (Microsoft), so a digital GTA 6 pre-order is not covered.

Boxed copies and retailers

Official The physical edition is a download code in a box, on sale 12 November. A retailer pre-order follows that retailer’s own cancellation and returns policy. Once the code is redeemed, the store’s digital rules apply.

Before you cancel

• Switching edition? You may not need to cancel. Store listing An Ultimate Upgrade is sold separately (US$20.00 on the Xbox Store on 14 October).
• Switching platform? Cancel on one store, then buy on the other. Nothing carries over.
• Keeping the Vintage Vice City Pack? Official It goes to every edition bought before 20 November, so buying again before then still gets it.
