- Official Prepared remarks, 7 August 2026: GTA 6 had “an exceptional start to pre-orders.”
- Official Zelnick on the call: “No one’s ever seen anything like this before at Take-Two or in the industry.” Also: pre-order levels are “unprecedented and astonishing,” and he said Take-Two does not know how they will translate into sales.
- Official Why guidance did not rise: “We haven’t sold one unit yet. You can cancel a pre-order.” Fiscal 2027 net bookings guidance stayed at US$8.0–8.2 billion.
- Official On the Standard/Ultimate mix: “The pre-orders have been exceptional, and we’re happy with the mix as well.” No split was given.

- Official Xbox’s Matthew Ball on X, 24 September: GTA VI is “breaking records for XBOX,” and Xbox’s share of pre-orders is “matching our share of the console market.” No number.

When a real number could appear
