For scale: one fan’s itemized pre-launch rundown on X added up to US$971. That is Reported, one person’s cart, not a price list. It got 2.39 million views, so plenty of people did the same math.
The GTA+ month is the sneaky one
Digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+. The US PlayStation Store listing says it plainly: “1-month GTA+ subscription with pre-order. Auto-renews.” After that month it is US$7.99 a month until you cancel. GTA+ is the existing GTA Online membership, not a GTA VI multiplayer pass. If you don’t play GTA Online, set a reminder to cancel. GTA+ explained.
What about PS Plus or Game Pass?
The US PlayStation Store listing for GTA VI reads “Offline play only” and “1 players.” It lists no PS Plus requirement. Rockstar hasn’t announced GTA VI Online at launch. So we don’t add a subscription to the bill. We also don’t promise you’ll never need one later. Game Pass: neither Microsoft nor Rockstar has announced GTA VI for Game Pass. Buy the game. What we left off
- Consoles. Sony and Microsoft have changed US console prices more than once. We won’t paste a number we couldn’t check against their stores today. Check PlayStation Direct or Xbox.com. Platform help: console picker.
- Storage. Rockstar hasn’t printed an install size. If you need a bigger SSD, that is a real cost. Storage.
