GTA 6 Vice City Collection: the $399.99 box, what’s inside, is it worth it
Desk stamp: 25 September 2026. Rockstar is selling a US$399.99 box of Vice City merch. It does not include the game. Read that twice before you click Pre-Order.
The full name is Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. Rockstar calls it “a premium Collector’s Box featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.” It went up on the Rockstar Store on Thursday 24 September. The internet called it a Collector’s Edition within minutes. It isn’t one. The game editions are still Standard and Ultimate. This is a drawer full of souvenirs.

Quick answers
- Does it include GTA 6? No. No disc, no download code, no in-game items. You buy the game separately (Standard US$79.99 or Ultimate US$99.99).
- Where do I buy it? Only on the Rockstar Store. You have to be logged in to a Rockstar Games account.
- How many can I buy? One. The store’s own error message: “This item is limited to one per person.”
- When does it arrive? Rockstar says it is “available to ship from November 19, 2026.” That is the day it can leave the warehouse, not the day it lands on your porch.
- Is shipping free? No. The listing says the item “is not eligible for free shipping.” The cost shows at checkout.
- Is it limited? Yes, per Rockstar: “currently only available in limited quantities.” No unit count was published.
- Can I cancel? Yes, through Rockstar’s fulfillment partner Xsolla, using the physical pre-order cancel form. You need your order number and the email you ordered with.

The box itself measures 19 × 13.5 × 12.5 inches. The safety line on the listing says it plainly: adult collectibles, not a toy, ages 18+, fragile, small parts and sharp edges.

How it went over
Reported Badly, mostly. Rockstar’s announcement post on X passed 10 million views. The replies were not a fan club.
- Reddit. On r/GTA6, “Collectors Edition Contents” drew about 1,270 comments in a day. “400€ is absolutely insane” hit about 2,660 upvotes. On r/GTA, “$400, doesn’t include the game” pulled 840-plus comments. Counts are a 25 September snapshot.
- YouTube. DarkViperAU (“Rockstar Went WAY Too Far”), LegacyKillaHD, Tyrone Magnus and IGN’s Daily Fix all ran it as a price story within a day. TGG’s unboxing-style videos were calmer.
- Cancellations. Reporter @videotech said he cancelled his £350 order and would buy individual merch instead.
- Scalpers. eBay listings of “up to US$1,750” were spotted the same night. Nobody has a box yet. Rockstar’s ship date is 19 November.
- The comparison everyone posted. GTA V’s 2013 Collector’s Edition was US$149.99 and came with the game. Red Dead Redemption 2’s 2018 Collector’s Box was US$99.99 with no game. This one is US$399.99 with no game.

More merch is coming
Official Newswire says more apparel and collectibles from the Grand Theft Auto VI Collection will arrive at the Rockstar Store “soon.” No list, no prices, no date.
Reported Before the reveal, dataminers found unannounced merch in the store backend. The first count was about 55 items. @videotech corrected it to 22, since the rest were size variants. Rockstar has not said whether any box item, like the poster, will be sold on its own.
The map poster
The back of the poster is the first full Leonida map Rockstar has put on sale. It is souvenir art, 36 × 26 inches. It is not an in-game map with a scale bar. For a few hours on 24 September the store image showed island labels such as “Sandbars” and “Crude Islands,” then Rockstar swapped the image. That swap is Reported by fan accounts that saved both versions. The map desk has the rest: Leonida map.
Who it is for
- Yes: collectors who buy Rockstar merch anyway, and would have bought the sunglasses and hat separately.
- Yes, if you plan: gift buyers who know the recipient already owns the game. Check the ship date against your holiday. It ships from 19 November.
- No: anyone who thinks the box plays anything. It doesn’t.
- No: anyone paying a scalper. Retail is one per person at US$399.99 on the Rockstar Store. Anything higher is a markup on a box that hasn’t shipped.
What this is not
- Not a third game edition. Rockstar Support still lists Standard and Ultimate.
- Not an Ultimate upgrade. None of the items unlock anything in the game.
- Not a physical disc. The boxed game is still a download code. Boxed copy.
- Not sold at other stores. Rockstar Store only, as listed.
