Leaked cameras and LoJack kill the storm-drain wait

Leaked cameras and LoJack kill the storm-drain wait

PC Gamer's leak tape puts traffic cameras and LoJack-style trackers on Vice City cars, and IGN adds six-star sweeps. Stashing an Infernus in a drain is the old game.

In GTA V, you dumped an Infernus in a Vinewood storm drain, waited ten seconds, and watched the radar circle die. Leaked developmental footage reported by PC Gamer says that habit is dead. Vice City's transit grid, in that tape, adds automated traffic-camera surveillance and LoJack-style car trackers that ping police dispatch after you break line of sight.

Cameras and silent trackers

Older GTA evasion was line of sight from patrol cars or civilian callers. The leak tape is a system. Intersection cameras log high-speed infractions and hit-and-runs on their own. Stolen cars with tracking hardware keep emitting silent signals if you leave them idling in a safehouse driveway or a back alley. Jacking an emergency getaway also has friction. Civilian motorists fight back. None of that is on the Newswire. It is leak video, and it is specific.

Six stars and a search sweep

Escaping the heat, in IGN reporting, is not a duck behind a billboard. That coverage says Rockstar North has reinstated the classic six-star wanted level, with tactical search sweeps that stay on an active crime perimeter. Those chases, in the same reporting, sit on real-time switching between Jason and Lucia, who coordinate getaways and watch regional heat through dynamic relationship text messages. Dual leads are official. Six-star sweeps and heat texts are still studio reporting on leaked play, not a published wanted spec.

A rap single is not radio

When Joyner Lucas released a single titled GTA 6, YouTube comments argued over in-game radio curation. Some wanted the track on the dial. Rumors of artist-run stations, including Drake, still float. Studio audio licensing and radio banter lock in during pre-production, years ahead. A late-cycle add is unlikely. Leonida radio is in-universe satire. It does not take fourth-wall requests.

Rockstar has confirmed the official Grand Theft Auto VI release date for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Early footage breaches were acknowledged in Polygon reporting. Xbox security work with Take-Two and Rockstar after the leaks was covered by GamesRadar. The wanted story on that tape is cameras, trackers, and six stars. Further notes land on the Rockstar Newswire.
