The store listing for the Grand Theft Auto VI Ultimate Edition says bonus gear is "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story." It unlocks behind the campaign, not on day one. Vice and Game Rant read that as Red Dead Redemption 2 chapters. It is product copy. It is not a chapter select screen.

A five-act leak is not a Newswire

Leak compilations on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours describe a five-act arc with Lucia as the spine. GTA V let you ignore a co-protagonist for dozens of hours. If Leonida is partitioned, Rockstar can move safehouses, heat, and contacts the way Red Dead moved camp. That is a useful read of a leak pile. Rockstar has not printed act names.

Prologue tape: prison, then an ankle monitor

GameSpot documented leaked prologue footage of Lucia inside a correctional facility before Jason picks her up on release. Community breakdowns put an ankle monitor on early Vice City free-roam. GTA IV blocked bridges because the map said so. A probation tag would make the lock part of her legal status. The tape shows a facility. It does not show the full map-gate rules.

Threaded unlocks are merchandising language

The official site says Ultimate Edition items and the Vintage Vice City Pack land across story milestones instead of dumping a high-tier loadout at launch. As the pair's job turns into a statewide conspiracy, gear gated by chapters would make getaways meaner. That is still store language, not a loot table.

Do not wait for a Newswire to invent the acts

If districts and syndicates unlock in sequence, early Leonida will be tighter than GTA V's open map. Launch is 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Watch the Rockstar Newswire for what they actually lock. Until they name chapters, the five-act list stays a leak compilation.
