GTA 6 Leaker Cyberleek Cashes Out $270,000 in Crypto Rugpull

GTA 6 Leaker Cyberleek Cashes Out $270,000 in Crypto Rugpull

GTA 6 leaker Cyberleek cashed out approximately $270,000 from a Solana memecoin scheme after disguising the leak campaign as a consumer rights protest against digital DRM.

The anonymous leaker who spent a week publishing raw GTA 6 gameplay clips carved their handle into an in-game wall with gunfire, claimed they were striking a blow for physical game ownership, and dumped $270,000 worth of cryptocurrency before vanishing.

The Vice City donation wall that crumbled

Tracking across decentralized liquidity pools and exchange deposits confirmed that the creator behind the $CYBERLEEK Solana token executed an abrupt liquidity pull. Outlets including Eurogamer and Game Rant reported the attacker extracted roughly $270,000 just hours before scheduled broadcast events. On-chain analysis cited by IGN showed investigator Vice Cit tracking roughly $241,000 in net profit after about $29,000 in contract deployment and setup costs, with proceeds routed through a Solana Raydium pool, then KuCoin and CCE.Cash, as reported by Dexerto. The token’s market valuation disintegrated immediately, leaving speculative buyers holding empty bags.

The CYBERLEEK Edict and token-gated polls

According to reporting from Forbes and Dexerto, the group paired developmental clips with a manifesto branded the "CYBERLEEK Edict." It listed "Gamers’ Rights" targeting digital-only releases, always-online single-player enforcement, and publisher license revocations. PC Gamer and Eurogamer reported that $Cyberleek holders were offered token-weighted votes on which spoiler clips would drop next — a pump mechanic dressed as community governance.

Bullet decals and stolen test builds in Leonida

Unlike the 2022 network intrusion debugging reels, this leak demonstrated an interactive build. Community breakdowns on YouTube highlighted clips where the player shot bullet impact decals into a wall to spell "leek," proving direct input control over a compiled branch. Where GTA V used transient bullet-hole decals, the leaked build displayed persistent surface deformation closer to Red Dead Redemption 2's localized micro-destruction alongside wrench melee combat, unpolished pedestrian pathfinding, and vehicle radio audio featuring a 2025 release track. These unrefined NPC collision states fueled community debate over whether the footage came from an obsolete 2023 development milestone or an unoptimized near-final branch.

Hijacking consumer rights for exit liquidity

To cultivate community trust, Cyberleek framed the leaks as civil disobedience against disc-less retail packaging, digital-only licensing, and DRM. Many players treated the token as a crowdfunding vehicle against corporate pricing, with some on YouTube arguing that the leak disproved Rockstar's stated rationale for going all-digital, and that the scam itself was indefensible even if the clips were welcome.

Consumer rights groups rejected the framing. At the 11:30 mark of a breakdown on YouTube, commentators detailed how the grassroots campaign Stop Killing Games explicitly disavowed the operation, warning that tethering digital ownership reform to cybercrime and pump-and-dump schemes sabotages real legislative progress.

The road to launch

Rockstar stayed quiet on the Newswire through the leak week. The date is still November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, on the official site. The argument left on the table is whether those rough physics are a 2023 leftover or a simulation load the studio still has to finish.

Even if he had the build, Rockstar sat on RDR2 leaks for months and it didn't hurt it one bit.
