Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson told IGN on 1 September:

"It will be released on time"

In the same IGN report, former Rockstar animator Mike York said a further six-month slip would not surprise him. That is polish history talking. It is not a claimed internal milestone.

Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval keep separate Criminal Profiles

The official VI site lists Lucia Caminos, fresh out of prison, and Jason Duval, ex-military, as dual protagonists with fluid switching.

Each lead carries a separate Criminal Profile. There is no shared honor meter. Heat, phone attention, and mission economy sit on the character you are playing. Their relationship can stay a working pair or tilt into optional romance. That is a break from GTA V's three-way wheel.

Leonida at three times Red Dead Redemption 2, Vice City at twice Los Santos

Leonida is a Florida stand-in on the official site. Vice City is about twice GTA 5's Los Santos. Full Leonida is about three times Red Dead Redemption 2.

A Rockstar Miami team met ex-criminals, law enforcement, club promoters, and gun dealers while building the state, GameSpot reported 28 August. More than 50 street artists painted in-game murals. Race drivers consulted on handling.

Focus and clothing-aware cops sit in IGN previews

IGN previews list body, fitness, and sleep affecting stamina. Working social feeds on the phone. A Dead Eye-like Focus for precision. Police that learn face and clothes. A reworked 1-to-6 wanted ladder, where one star is easy to shake and three-plus turns brutal in dense Vice City, up to map-wide chaos at six. Aim-assist is toned down.

Breaking line of sight no longer resets heat. You swap clothes, swap cars, and duck phones that put you on a social post. Focus buys a window to end a gunfight before the ladder spikes. Linger time on clothing memory, Focus cooldown, and whether the phone feed actually triggers police remain preview-reported, not Newswire-confirmed, IGN notes.

Eurogamer reported 1 September that Take-Two is still chasing GTA 6 leak accounts through Discord, Microsoft, and X with a new targeted subpoena. GameSpot observed Xbox posting more visible GTA 6 marketing than Rockstar itself for stretches of summer, while Rockstar pushed GTA Online bonuses.
