Take-Two subpoenas Discord over CyberLeek after a $268k memecoin cashout

Take-Two subpoenas Discord over CyberLeek after a $268k memecoin cashout

Sealed Discord subpoenas follow CyberLeek's wallet drain. The disc protest branding does not erase the exit scam.

According to court filings and on-chain records reported in early September, Take-Two Interactive escalated its hunt for CyberLeek with a sealed federal Discord subpoena after the group emptied wallets and vanished with roughly $268,000 in crypto proceeds. Mid-August posts had dripped gameplay clips wrapped in fury over code-in-box retail. The cashout reframes that campaign as an exit scam wearing consumer-rights language.

Protest brand, crypto ending

CyberLeek's "No Disc, No Buy" line tapped a real ownership argument. Draining memecoin liquidity and disappearing undercuts any claim to software preservation leadership. Take-Two's legal track is about leak distribution and platform records, not a referendum on Blu-rays.

Sealed subpoenas are a process step, not a courtroom finale. Still, the combination of Discord records and emptied wallets is the hardest public evidence yet that CyberLeek's consumer-rights branding was cover for a cashout. Players angry about code-in-box retail do not need that brand to keep arguing ownership.

What players should do

Do not treat anonymous leak brands as advocates. Digital pre-orders and disc SKUs are separate consumer choices. Watch for unsealed filings or Take-Two statements for the next hard fact, and ignore wallet-tipping "support" links from unverified accounts.

Manifesto branding does not cover that. Sealed Discord subpoenas after a $268k cashout.

That's the read the piece lands on: the 'No Disc, No Buy' line borrowed a real ownership argument, but the $268,000 cashout and the Discord subpoena point to an exit scam wearing consumer-rights language. Player complaints about code-in-box retail stand on their own — they just don't need CyberLeek as the voice. Watch for unsealed filings next.

Take-Two going to Discord is the predictable end of this. They did the same dance with SA leaks, just slower. x
