Arabic and Turkish players want GTA VI text. They already dropped the dub.

Arab and Turkish creators launched joint campaigns for official GTA VI subtitles and dropped the dub ask. Console players cannot install a cafe patch on a PS5.
Turkish and Arab gaming creators opened a joint ask for Arabic and Turkish text in Grand Theft Auto VI. Coverage on 4 September, via IGN's X account, showed Turkish fans independently dubbing the reveal gameplay. This is not a celebrity voice job. They want mission objectives, phone texts, and dialogue cues they can read while a heist is live, so the American satire does not blow past them in a chase.
#ArabicForGTA6 is text, not a dub
Both campaigns dropped voice-acting asks so the request does not die on an audio budget. Middle Eastern creators under #ArabicForGTA6 published an open letter through Gamer Snack on 9 September. The letter says millions of players have spent ten years waiting to play modern Vice City without a language wall. Miss a rapid mission prompt or a phone alert between Jason and Lucia in a high-heat escape and the job breaks. Console players cannot install third-party translation files into an encrypted PlayStation 5 package. Subtitles, interface menus, and in-game phone translations cut the voice-talent bill. That is a packaging task.
The 007 sales line is the organizer's number
"This movement is not only about Rockstar — it's about all gaming companies that ignore these two essential languages," campaign organizer R3XQ8 wrote. R3XQ8 added, "Look at Turkey: when Turkish was added to 007, sales skyrocketed."
Organizers moved from mood to receipts. R3XQ8 said on 7 September that adding Turkish text to titles such as Project 007 multiplied regional digital sales, and that official text turns grey-market copies into storefront buys. Community members pointed at Kotaku reporting on 4 September that Rockstar already recuts promotional footage for platforms such as Chinese YouTube. That is precedent for market-specific assets. The line that skipping Arabic and Turkish leaves millions of dollars uncollected is the campaign's math, not a Take-Two filing.
Cafe mods do not install on a PS5
Gaming historian Disket Kutusu wrote on 7 September that decades of regional loyalty grew out of informal translation mods on PC cafe networks. Turkish and Arab fans patched custom text files into Vice City and San Andreas on desktop machines. That was unpaid labor. Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped with thirteen official languages. Players whose language was not in that list stayed locked on console unless they moved to PC. Release-schedule trackers put platform certification about seventy days out. That is the window they name for day-one font tables and text strings before disc press.
If the studio recuts trailer assets for Chinese YouTube, Arabic and Turkish text tables are the smaller ask. Storefront language matrices and the official Newswire are the confirmation. Until those lists move, this is a campaign, not a SKU.
