GTA 6 Cyberleek Build Leak Fizzled: What Was Claimed, What Came Out

Cyberleek promised a 200GB GTA 6 build at $30M. The coin crashed and the build never came. Here’s the timeline.
The leaker known as Cyberleek threatened to release a full, playable 200GB build of GTA 6, “full story mode, played to the end, credits and all,” if its memecoin hit a $30 million market cap. The coin peaked around $8 million and crashed. On October 14, Cyberleek said the build won’t be released and “the leeks stop here. For now.”
It’s the second time this year a hacker group has promised a big Rockstar dump that didn’t deliver GTA 6. Here’s what was claimed, what actually came out, and why it fell apart. We don’t link to or reproduce any leaked material.
Claim. “A full GTA 6 build is about to leak.”
Evidence. Reported: VGC quoted Cyberleek’s Oct 11 threat. IGN reported on Oct 14 that Cyberleek said the build won’t be released because the $30 million target wasn’t hit. Nobody outside Cyberleek has verified a full build exists.
Verdict. Not confirmed, and not released. The threat fizzled with the coin.

Who Cyberleek Is, and What It Had Already Leaked
Cyberleek is an anonymous person or group that began posting unauthorized GTA 6 gameplay in August. Rockstar didn’t deny the footage. On August 26 it said the leaks had been “heartbreaking for our team” and that “the intended game experience may now be impacted by some spoilers,” while keeping the November 19 date (Official). Take-Two launched legal proceedings in New York, the BBC reported, and filed subpoenas to Discord (Reported).
Unlike many hacker threats, this one started with footage Rockstar itself acknowledged. That’s what made the next threat look serious.
The 200GB Ultimatum
On the weekend of October 10–11, VGC reported, Cyberleek posted that if its coin reached a $30 million market cap it would leak a working build. “Take-Two gets one way out: physical disks and a public apology,” it said (Reported).
Outlets treated it as a money play, not a protest. Kotaku said the account had “effectively ransomed off” Lucia clips. IGN noted analysis of August crypto transactions pointing to a cash-out of around $270,000 (Reported).
On October 12, Cyberleek posted a “roadmap” of clips by price: a mini tank at $5 million, a tank at $9 million, a police shootout at $13 million, a fighter jet at $21 million, a train-versus-train clip at $25 million, and the “full 200GB+ playable build” at $30 million (Reported, Kotaku).
Why It Fizzled
Three things, according to the outlets covering it:
- The coin crashed. It peaked at roughly $7.8–8.4 million on October 11, depending on the outlet, then fell about 71% within a day, Polygon reported. Kotaku had it at $2.2 million on October 12; IGN at $1.2 million by October 14.
- The bait ran out. Polygon argued Cyberleek spent its most tempting clips at the cheapest tiers. After that, a blurry tank clip wasn’t worth much with the real game a month away.
- The risk. In its final message, Cyberleek said “uploading 200+ GB anonymously is a serious risk,” worth it only if the milestone funded its “secret project” (Reported, IGN).
Cyberleek called the coin a “donation,” not an investment, and said Take-Two had been “punished enough.” It did post one more video. IGN (8:47 a.m. ET) says it reportedly shows parts of the ending, with clips from the final missions, and Eurogamer (9:06 a.m. ET) says it supposedly shows the game’s ending (Reported). Cyberleek claims the clips are out of context and that “the ending stays unpublished”; it also claims a “dead man’s switch” for story spoilers is still active (Reported, via Insider Gaming, 8:55 a.m. ET). The full build was still not released. Neither outlet describes the clips, and we won’t either.
The Other One: ShinyHunters in April
In April 2026, a group called ShinyHunters claimed it had breached Rockstar through a third-party cloud provider and threatened to publish data unless paid, the BBC reported. Rockstar responded: “We can confirm that a limited amount of non-material company information was accessed in connection with a third-party data breach. This incident has no impact on our organisation or our players” (Official, via BBC). Security Affairs later described an 8.1GB dump of analytics, support tickets and anti-cheat material (Reported). No GTA 6 material was reported in it.
What Happens Next
Cyberleek is still anonymous and says it might come back. Take-Two’s legal effort continues. Rockstar hasn’t commented on the October drops. GTA 6 is still set for November 19 (Official). The safest advice from outlets: avoid spoiler-heavy feeds until launch. Background on past leaks lives in our leak tracker.
