Everything GTA 6 You Can Buy That Isn't the Game: The $399.99 Box, $84.99 Controllers, Heat Tees and the Scalper Trap

The $399.99 box, $84.99 controllers, album vinyl and HEAT apparel are real and mostly ship around November 19. The resale listings are the trap.
Besides the game itself, you can already buy GTA 6 stuff from four official places: Rockstar’s $399.99 Vice City Collection box, Sony’s $84.99 Limited Edition DualSense controllers, the official album on vinyl and CD, and the Miami HEAT’s Vice City apparel. None of them includes a copy of Grand Theft Auto VI, which costs $79.99 or $99.99 and launches November 19, 2026.
Ten years of waiting, and the first thing Leonida sells you is a gator figurine with a stash compartment.
Claim. The official GTA 6 merch is real and mostly ships on or after November 19. The biggest risk this holiday is resale: people selling the limited stuff for two to four times its price before it exists.
Evidence. Official: Vice City Collection $399.99, one per person, ships from November 19, game sold separately. Official: DualSense Limited Editions $84.99 each, launching November 19. Reported: eBay asks for the box from about $800 to $1,750 (Beebom), with LevelUp flagging a $1,500 listing, while Rockstar’s store still had it in stock. Reported: controllers relisted for up to about $200.
Verdict. Buy from the official store or wait. Prices and dates are Official. Resale prices are Reported snapshots. Sell-out timing is an Estimate.

The $399.99 Vice City Collection Box Does Not Include the Game
Rockstar’s official name is Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. It’s $399.99 on the Rockstar Store, and the store and Newswire both say “Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately” (Official). You may hear it called “the collector’s edition” or the “Good Times State” box. Same thing, and it’s merch.
Inside, per Rockstar’s list: a 6-inch Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment, matte black Oakley Frogskins with Prizm Sapphire lenses, a New Era 9FORTY snapback, a Macca magnetic mirror, a swizzle spoon, a razor-blade keychain, a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, nine enamel pins in a tin, nine stickers, and a double-sided poster with a full Leonida map on the back.
The rules matter more than the contents. It’s limited to one per person, adults only (18+), and needs a Rockstar Store login. It ships from November 19, which is a dispatch date, not a delivery date. Shipping isn’t free. It ships to the US, Canada, the UK and 20 European countries, with Asia, Latin America and Australia still “stay tuned.” Cancellations go through Rockstar’s fulfillment partner, Xsolla (Official).
Is it worth it? Creators mostly said no. GhillieMaster put the real cost near $500 after tax and shipping. TGG thought the Oakleys were roughly half the price and wished the map poster were sold alone. TmarTn2 was the main fan. Everyone agreed the map is the best thing in the box. Our full breakdown: Vice City Collection.
The $84.99 DualSense Controllers: Black Is Harder to Find
Sony’s two GTA 6 Limited Edition DualSense controllers, Black and White, cost $84.99 each and launch with the game on November 19 (Official, PlayStation Blog). US pre-orders opened September 10 at 10:00 a.m. ET on PlayStation Direct.
The catch: in the US, the Black controller is a PlayStation Direct exclusive, so if Direct shows it sold out, there’s no second official store to try. The White one is at Direct plus participating retailers. Neither includes the game or any in-game bonus. It’s a regular DualSense in Vice City colors. HEAT Court Culture Tees Are NBA Merch, and They Ship Slowly
On October 2, the Miami HEAT’s Court Culture line launched a Vice City collection at HEAT stores and MiamiHeatStore.com, timed to the team’s “A Night in Vice City” game against the Bucks on November 18 (Official). Per VICE, the collection is 14 items from $45 to $110: a $45 “Welcome to Vice City” tee, a $50 New Era snapback, a $100 hoodie and a $110 Court Culture x Duvin crewneck (Reported). RockstarINTEL reported some sizes selling out within minutes (Reported). The HEAT store’s own product pages say it plainly: “THIS IS A PRE-ORDER ITEM. This item will be shipped within 5-6 weeks” (Official), and standard delivery adds another 5 to 8 business days.
Two warnings. It’s HEAT merch, not Rockstar’s box, even where a cap says “Goodtime State.” And a five-to-six-week ship window from early October, plus transit, puts delivery around mid-to-late November. If it’s a holiday gift, order early (Estimate). The game-night story is in our marketing tracker.
The Album on Vinyl and CD Arrives November 19
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album has 34 original tracks, made with Atlantic Records, out November 19 (Official). Rockstar lists three exclusives at gtavi-thealbum.com, a liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter-edition vinyl and a CD, plus retailer-exclusive vinyl colors at stores including Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Target and Urban Outfitters. Prices, per TechRadar: $19.98 for the CD and $49.98 for the standard 2LP vinyl. The liquid-filled magenta vinyl was reported at $124.98, and TechRadar’s headline says the limited-edition vinyl collection already sold out (Reported). Retailer-exclusive vinyls are different colors, not bonus music. The six singles are already streaming. More on the soundtrack page.
The Scalper Trap: Resale Listings Before the Box Even Ships
Within days of the box going up, resellers were already asking two to four times retail. On September 28, TheProfessional found eBay listings at roughly $700, $825, $850, $1,250 and $1,300, while the box was still in stock on Rockstar’s store. He said one seller appeared to list about 13 boxes, despite Rockstar’s one-per-person limit (Reported). Beebom put the low end around $800 with most asks at $900 to $1,000 and a high of $1,750. LevelUp spotted a $1,500 listing. TheGamer found code-in-box Standard pre-orders of the game itself listed at $225 with postage (Reported).
Here’s what you’re actually buying from a reseller right now: a promise. Rockstar doesn’t ship until November 19, so nobody has the box in hand. If the seller’s order gets cancelled, or the account gets flagged for buying several, you’re stuck waiting on a refund dispute. Same rule for controllers, which got relisted for up to about $200 on eBay (Reported). On StockX, the GTA 6 DualSense page showed no asks and a top bid of $150 in an October 2 snapshot (Reported). eBay asks are wishes, not sales.
- Check the official store first. The box was still available when the resale listings appeared.
- Any listing promising delivery before November 19 is wrong. Rockstar ships from that date.
- eBay’s own presale policy says listings must say “presale” and guarantee shipment within 40 business days of purchase (Official). A listing that hides it is breaking eBay’s rules.
- The White controller doesn’t need a scalper: Tom’s Guide showed it in stock at Best Buy, Walmart and GameStop in September (Reported).
- “Early access codes” and “pre-release keys” don’t exist. GTA 6 has no official early access.
- Skip Discord queue bots and gray-market “accounts.” No receipt, no deal. More on our pre-order safety page.
Scalping only works if you blink first. The official shelf hasn’t emptied yet.
What to Buy If You Only Buy One Thing
The game. Standard is $79.99, Ultimate is $99.99, and the boxed Standard holds a download code, not a disc (Official). Wrapping a code-in-box is the easiest GTA 6 gift you can give this year. After that, the $84.99 controller is the most useful extra. The $399.99 box is for collectors who actually want a gator with a stash compartment. Run the numbers on our cost calculator and pick on the gift guide.
What We Still Don’t Know
- How many Vice City Collection boxes or Limited Edition controllers exist. Nobody has published stock numbers.
- What “more apparel and collectibles” Rockstar’s store adds next, and when.
- When the box opens in Asia, Latin America and Australia.
- Whether the creator-kit items, like the Zippo lighter, Goodtime State shirt and the tote from TmarTn2’s box, ever go on public sale. As of October 2, they aren’t in the store.
The official clock: pre-load November 12, launch November 19 at 12:00 a.m. ET per US store listings, with the box, the controllers and the album all arriving the same day. Buy the game first. Everything else is a souvenir.
