Dexerto still has the GTA 6 physical edition as a download code

The GTA 6 physical edition download code is still the product Dexerto reported on 24 June 2026, when it reported Rockstar confirmed physical copies would contain a download code at a $79.99 launch. Rockstar's pre-order Newswire from that day still includes a free month of GTA+ with digital pre-orders and does not attach that month to a physical edition. A player who wants the month cannot point to a Newswire line that includes it with the carton.

The pack before 20 November

On that Newswire, the update line says Grand Theft Auto VI is now available to pre-order globally. All pre-orders and purchases before 20 November 2026 get the Vintage Vice City Pack, so a physical purchase before 20 November sits on the same pack line.

Two shops that left the carton on the dock

Dexerto reported on 24 June 2026 that Rockstar confirmed physical copies would contain a download code, with a 19 November launch at $79.99. Video Games Plus and Loot Box Gaming declined to stock the edition.

Video Games Plus put the refusal on company policy.

Our company policy is that we do not carry physical products for video game consoles that contain only a digital download code,

Dexerto reported the shop would hold off online and in-store unless a disc version ships, and it quoted "tremendous respect for Rockstar Games". Loot Box Gaming refused on the grounds that a code in a box does not honor buyers.

A player who only buys from those two shops has no carton there. Nothing in this record shows either shop reversing after 24 June.

A month of GTA+ on the digital pre-order

Ultimate Edition on the Newswire adds an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across Jason and Lucia's story. A free month of GTA+ is included with digital pre-orders. The Newswire attaches the month to digital pre-orders and does not say carton buyers are barred from it; it does not define GTA+ on that page.
