The lobby Mills wants to crown may already be inside Leonida

On 27 September 2026 a meme post turned Joshua Mills' kings-and-queens line into an argument about whether Siege will have anyone left to reward. Dexerto had the interview on 22 September. Rockstar had already printed 19 November 2026.

Stay through the Rainbow Six Siege GTA 6 launch and get treated like royalty. No payout attached. Dexerto's writeup of the Game Business appearance quotes a hit across every genre, a leave and a return, and Siege staff in the leaving group.

Joshua Mills and the kings and queens line

Mills put the concession ahead of the crown. Dexerto quotes him from the show:

It doesn't matter what genre you're in, you're going to get hit when that drops. People are going to go play and they'll come back and stuff like this. And heck all, of us are going to play.

The same transcription has the short version, "We've got a big one coming with GTA." Dexerto reports the golden rule as serving the players who stay like kings and queens, and quotes him that the studio does not go on vacation because a competitor is swelling the market for a second. In that account the studio doubles down so time spent in Ubisoft's 11-year-old tactical shooter is rewarded.

Anyone who has run Cayo knows a leave-and-return with a listed take. Mills is describing the leave, including his own team. The take is the missing line. Logging into Siege that week still looks like a normal session.

19 November 2026 on Rockstar's page

Rockstar's GTA VI page puts Jason and Lucia in Vice City, in the state of Leonida, coming 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and says it plays best on PlayStation 5. The page does not mention Siege. A reader off those two boxes is outside the launch by the storefront.

Dexerto reports unannounced surprises held back "to make a bit of a splash" around GTA 6's launch window. Around the window is not a lock to 19 November. Rockstar printed the day.

Dipping numbers can rattle a team even when everyone expects the dip to pass. Dexerto says the splash is there to steady that room.

A player who owns both games has a Siege drop competing with the first week in Leonida. Mills said the people he expects to impress, his own staff included, will be inside GTA. The surprises are aimed at a week he expects that audience to skip.

The 27 September meme

On 27 September an X post turned the kings-and-queens line into a two-image meme. Replies under that post, unverified and not separately linked in what was fetched, treat the staying player as the joke. Nobody sane picks Siege over GTA 6 that week. The servers will look dry. One person says they are still on PS4. Another salutes the Siege team for holding the fort against the launch. Chatter, not a census.

Under the Game Business upload, one comment says, "Let Siege die already. Go back to your roots and find out why people loved your debut game." A reply says Siege will live forever. Neither line is a population count, and a commenter's aside about who owns the studio is not an ownership filing.

Siege's platform list is outside this reporting, so one unverified PS4 reply cannot name the royalty cohort.

The date is already on Rockstar's GTA VI page, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. If the players still online that week are mostly people whose boxes are off that list, is the royalty line a reward or a description of who got left off the launch?
