GTA 6 PEGI Rating Pulled After Listing Cocaine Use, Sex Scenes and Gore

PEGI briefly published a PEGI 18 listing for GTA 6 on Oct. 2 that named pocket cocaine, paid private dances with contact and weapon-based gore as player actions, according to VGC and IGN. Then the page vanished.

That removal is the evidence status. No live PEGI page exists to check, PEGI has not explained the pull and neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has commented, with the Take-Two homepage carrying no statement. Everything below comes from what those two outlets captured before the listing returned a not-found page.

Inventory Cocaine, Private Dances and Decapitation

Drug use was described as "frequent and prominent," including cocaine the player carries and snorts directly from the hand at any time. Sex coverage included nudity, scenes of intercourse and occasional fetishes, plus paid nightclub dances where the player can move hands onto dancers. Violence was called "bloody with a high degree of realism," with certain weapons able to cause "detailed decapitation and dismemberment." Domestic animals can be harmed with less injury detail than humans.

If that wording holds, Vice City nightclubs stop being set dressing and become spend locations with contact rules to learn, much like GTA V strip clubs where too much touching gets Jason or Lucia thrown out. Pocket cocaine would shift drugs from cutscene prop to on-demand inventory action, closer to RDR2 tonics than to Trevor's trips. Gore tied to specific weapons would make gun choice matter in free roam, not only in executions.

ESRB M Holds After the Oct. 2 PEGI Pull

The pull landed one day after the ESRB M for Mature rating, leaving American stores with a letter grade and Europe with screenshots of a deleted paragraph. Players following the age-rating breakdown are already debating how strict Australia and Germany will be, while one viewer on a nudity debate asked for full nudity, persistent blood and no censorship. That is appetite, not proof, but it shows where tolerance for cuts sits a month out.

Until PEGI restores the page, treat this as a systems watchlist: inventory drugs, paid contact dances, heavy weapons. The rating told players what Rockstar would not.
