What GTA 6’s Ultimate Edition Copy Reveals: Fences, Weapon Lockers, Wyman and a Gang Compound

Rockstar’s edition copy mentions garages with weapon lockers, stolen goods to be fenced, a PTT YOUNGIN$ compound raid and Wyman’s car commission. What it says word for word, what Rob Nelson added, and what’s still unconfirmed.
Rockstar’s store copy for the $99.99 Ultimate Edition and the Vintage Vice City Pack mentions garages with weapon lockers, a “secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced,” a gang compound you raid, and a classic-car commission from a fixer named Wyman. That’s more about GTA 6’s systems than any trailer has said outright.
The copy is marketing, but it’s first-party, so it counts as Official. Here is what it says word for word, what Rockstar’s Rob Nelson later added, and where press readings went further than the text.
Claim. “GTA 6 limits how many guns you can carry, like Red Dead Redemption 2.”
Evidence. Official: the store copy mentions weapon lockers and a boat’s weapons crate, nothing about carry limits. Reported: Nelson told IGN that “all your weapons that you’ve purchased will always be available in the back of your personal vehicle.” The carry-limit idea started as IGN’s own theory on June 25, flagged by IGN itself as speculation.
Verdict. Not confirmed. Storage is official; a carry limit isn’t.

What You Pay, and When You Get It
Grand Theft Auto VI is $79.99. The Ultimate Edition is $99.99, and Standard owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately (Official). The Vintage Vice City Pack is a bonus; the Xbox listing says it’s included “with all digital purchases of Grand Theft Auto VI made prior to 19 November 2026 23:59:59.” See our editions guide.
None of this lands on day one in a pile. Rockstar says the Ultimate bonuses are “available to Jason and Lucia across their story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter” (Official). The Vintage items likewise “will be available to Jason and Lucia as their story progresses.” That “each chapter” line is the only official hint that the story is split into chapters. Rockstar hasn’t named any.
Garages Hide Guns and Loot
Two garages come with the same sentence attached:
- Shore Court (Vintage Vice City Pack), “just a stone’s throw from the glistening sands of Ocean Beach,” is “complete with a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced.” It comes with a ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan.
- Paradise Garage in Watson Bay (Ultimate) “features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced.” It houses the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, “a Mud Club monster” built for “the backwoods of Mount Kalaga and beyond.”
One detail worth getting right: in the copy, the locker belongs to the garage, not to the Stanier. IGN’s June write-up said the Stanier “has a weapons locker,” but the Xbox listing ties the locker to Shore Court.
The Ultimate Shitzu Squalo boat, docked at Washington Beach, is “made open-ocean-ready with an explosives-laden weapons crate.” Whether that crate stores your guns or just holds explosives isn’t stated. More on it in our boats guide.
The Fence Is a Real System
“Stolen goods to be fenced” appears twice in Rockstar’s copy, and Nelson showed it working. During IGN’s demo, he set a waypoint to a fence: “This is the fence, and he’s lit up green with a dollar sign now. We have some things we can sell him: jewelry” (Reported).
There are car fences too. Nelson’s phone scanner tells you whether a car is locked, alarmed or tracked, and “how much it’s worth if I go to take it to a Pay n’ Spray or a specialty car fence, and how much it would cost for me to register it for myself.” In the demo, a car fence had given the duo the code to a police impound lot. Robbery targets, he added, are “very important to the gameplay system loop,” and “there will be parts of the game where you need to make money to advance the mission flow.”
What a fence pays isn’t public. Figures like “70 cents on the dollar” circulating online were labeled guesses by the site that posted them; we left them out.
Weapons Live in Your Trunk
Nelson was explicit about storage: “You can call your personal vehicle at any time. All your weapons that you’ve purchased will always be available in the back of your personal vehicle.” The trunk also holds “changes of clothes,” useful because a new outfit clears police heat (Reported).
The Ultimate weapons are about looks. The Hawk and Little Morgan Revolvers are “his and hers versions” with “classic Vice City stylings sourced from the Vercetti Estate, including palm-tree-etched grips, engraved detailing, and high-performance scope.” Jason’s Girardi ES9 and Lucia’s Klose K17 get engraved versions. The Vintage pack adds a tropical pattern for “most guns,” inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s palm-tree shirt (Official). “Vercetti Estate” is flavor text, not confirmation Tommy appears. Our weapons page lists every named gun.
The PTT YOUNGIN$ Compound
The most game-like line in the copy: “Raid the compound of one of Southside Vice City’s loudest and most socially active gangs and escape safely to score some special items and distinct contraband” (Official). The name is PTT YOUNGIN$, spelled that way in Rockstar’s copy; some early write-ups rendered it “Pitt.”
Nelson listed “gang compounds to hit” among open-world activities, alongside robberies and car fences (Reported). Whether PTT YOUNGIN$ is one of many compounds, or the only Ultimate one, Rockstar hasn’t said. Rockstar also hasn’t published a gang roster.
Wyman’s Classic Car Commission
The copy reads: “Track down a variety of abandoned classic and work-in-progress project cars and revitalize them to their former glory in this special commission from eccentric collector and local fixer, Wyman” (Official). That’s two systems in one sentence: car restoration and “special commissions” from fixers. IGN compared it to Forza Horizon’s barn finds. Rockstar hasn’t listed the cars. Details on our Wyman page.
Shops That Hint at Customization Depth
Five “special destinations” are “only open for business with the Ultimate Edition” (Official):
- Rideout Customs: “detailed interiors, exquisite rims, and donk stylings.”
- One-Eyed Willie’s, Lake Leonida: “off-road modifications and hand-painted automotive artistry.”
- Sara’s Unisex Salon: facial hair for Jason, makeup and nails for Lucia.
- Stock 305, Stockyard: “elevated streetwear.”
- Electric Fang Tattoo, Stockyard: “over 50 signature tattoos,” all designed by the artist collective FAILE.
The shops are exclusive, but the categories tell everyone what customization covers: car interiors and off-road kits, facial hair, nails, tattoos. Nelson added that regular salons sell signature styles and safehouse mirrors can only make hair shorter. Jason’s Vapid Ganado pickup also gets a “Ganado Retro Build” mod set. See our customization guide.
The Vehicles, Named
Official vehicle names from the copy: the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, “available to punctuate later-stage action”; the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy; the Shitzu Squalo, “perfect for casting in Gambit Bay,” which suggests fishing; Jason’s Dinka Enduro motorcycle and Crest Kayak; and the ’55 Vapid Stanier. All are on our vehicle list.
What the Copy Doesn’t Say
- How many weapons you can carry at once.
- What fences pay, or how heat affects prices.
- Whether other gangs have compounds.
- Which cars are in Wyman’s collection.
- Chapter names or count.
