GTA 6 release date Australia — 19 November 2026

Official Grand Theft Auto VI cover art

Australia will spend launch week arguing about Wednesday versus Thursday. PlayStation’s Australia games page footer printed 18/11/2026. The FAQ on that same URL still says Grand Theft Auto VI is released on November 19, 2026. Rockstar and Take-Two printed 19 November 2026. We are not picking a midnight in Sydney so the footer wins.

The primary date is still the US sheet: 19 November 2026 ET. Local notes below are geography, not a second publisher date. Desk pass: 6 September 2026. Extended Look already aired 27 August. This is the ACB sheet and the AEDT clock. The index is release dates. US primary: release-date-us. Calendar: calendar. GTA6 NOW is independent. We are not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.

Rockstar date
19 November 2026. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Xbox AU price
Standard AU$129.95. Ultimate AU$159.95. Listing we fetched.

PS AU footer
18/11/2026 on the games page. FAQ still says the 19th.

ACB for VI
No certificate we can cite. GTA V was R18+ — that is V.

US ET primary
19 Nov 2026
Publisher date on the US page. Australia does not move it.
Pre-load
12 Nov 2026
Local midnight (AEDT in Sydney / Melbourne). Pre-load checklist.

AEDT is already Friday when California is still Thursday

Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart are on AEDT in November — UTC+11. Brisbane stays on AEST, UTC+10. Perth is AWST, UTC+8. “19 November” is Friday on those calendars as a date. It is not an unlock hour.

Arithmetic, labeled as arithmetic: 19 November 00:00 AEDT is still 18 November 08:00 EST. That is why the 18th keeps showing up in comments. It is not a Rockstar “Australia launches early” quote. The publisher date is the 19th.

Pre-load is local midnight on 12 November 2026. In Sydney that is midnight AEDT on the 12th. You download. You do not play. Pre-load checklist.

Xbox Australia printed dollars. Different dollars

Microsoft’s Xbox Australia listing printed AU$129.95 Standard, AU$159.95 Ultimate, and AU$30.00 for the upgrade. Source: xbox.com/en-AU this pass. Take-Two’s June sheet is still US$79.99 / US$99.99. We did not convert one into the other.

PlayStation Australia — playstation.com/en-au — did not print an Australian dollar price on the marketing page this pass. It printed the 18/11 footer and the 19 November FAQ. Start at rockstargames.com/VI.

EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, and Amazon AU typically list a Rockstar launch. We do not have an official retailer SKU in this pass. We will not invent one.

The ACB is the board, not PEGI

Australia uses the Classification Board (ACB). Take-Two still says not yet rated. We did not find a classification.gov.au page for Grand Theft Auto VI this pass. Grand Theft Auto V was classified R18+ in Australia. That is V. We will not write “it’s R18+” for VI. PEGI is a European label. A UK screenshot is not an Australian certificate. The long card is ratings.

Extended Look is a Friday morning in August

27 August 2026 — already aired. Fell in Australian standard time. Sydney was AEST, UTC+10, in August. Netflix at 3:00 p.m. ET was 5:00 a.m. Friday the 28th in Sydney. YouTube and the VI site at 9:00 p.m. ET was 11:00 a.m. Friday. Perth is two hours behind that. This is not the November AEDT clock. One city is enough. The hub is Extended Look.

What Australian threads ask

r/GTA6’s Australia beat is the 18th-versus-19th fight, and whether a midnight queue at EB Games counts. Rockstar printed the 19th. PlayStation’s AU footer printed the 18th. Support’s midnight sentence is for pre-load on the 12th, not for a high-street hour on launch night. The box is still a download code. Confirmed: confirmed. FAQ: faq. Platforms: platforms. Calendar: calendar.

Who printed which November day

DeskDate as printedWhat it is
Rockstar / Take-Two 19 November 2026 Publisher date. The one this desk uses.
PlayStation AU FAQ November 19, 2026 Same URL as the footer below.
PlayStation AU footer 18/11/2026 Store metadata. We are not promoting it over Newswire.
Xbox AU No calendar-day fight on the listing we fetched. Prices: AU$129.95 / AU$159.95. An invented ACB certificate.

Hard stop — Australia

No invented ACB R18+ for VI. No invented EB Games midnight hour as Newswire. No claim the PS AU footer overrides Rockstar. Local midnight is Support’s pre-load wording on the 12th. US ET primary stays on the US page.
