Japan is the one storefront this pass that printed a clock, not just a day. PlayStation’s Japanese product page listed 2026/11/18 3:00 p.m. UTC next to the Ultimate Edition header. UTC 15:00 on the 18th is 00:00 JST on 19 November. That is Sony Japan’s metadata. It is not a Rockstar Support “midnight local” sentence for launch. We are labeling the source.

The primary date is still the US sheet: 19 November 2026 ET. Local notes below are geography, not a second publisher date. The FAQ on that same Japanese page still answers “発売日はいつですか” with 2026年11月19日, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. Take-Two Interactive Japan GK is the publisher line on the page. Desk pass: 6 September 2026. JST does not invent a 20 November launch

Japan is UTC+9 all year. If you convert a rumoured US Eastern midnight, you land on the afternoon of the 19th in Tokyo — still the 19th. The people asking “is it the 20th in Japan” are doing the conversion in the wrong direction. PlayStation Japan’s own timestamp points at local midnight on the 19th, not at the 20th.

We will not write “Rockstar said 0:00 JST.” We will write: PlayStation Japan printed 15:00 UTC on 18 November. The publisher date remains 19 November.

Yen on Xbox. CERO Z is last generation’s sticker

Xbox Japan — xbox.com/ja-JP — printed ¥9,800 Standard, ¥12,280 Ultimate, and ¥2,480 for the upgrade this pass. The rating line on that listing is 審査予定 — rating pending. Take-Two’s dollar sheet is a different document.

PlayStation Japan — playstation.com/ja-jp — did not print a yen price on the marketing page this pass. Its age FAQ says VI’s rating is 未定, then notes Grand Theft Auto V was CERO Z (18才以上のみ対象) in Japan. That last clause is V. We will not write “CERO Z” as a VI certificate.

Extended Look is a Friday morning in Tokyo

27 August 2026 — already aired. Netflix at 3:00 p.m. ET was 4:00 a.m. JST on Friday the 28th. YouTube and the VI site at 9:00 p.m. ET was 10:00 a.m. JST that Friday. One city. The hub is Extended Look.
